Install J3 DocType in ERPNext

  • Create J3 Solution role in ERPNext. Navigate to Setup > Role, click new to create new “J3 Solution” role

Currently, there is no automated way to install J3 DocType in ERPNext. You can choose to import each excel doctype or import all DocTye at once.

Import all DocType at once

To import all doctype at once download our latest DocType file here

Please note this excel file containing all ERPNext DocType. Please follow this instruction to import.

 

  • Search for DocType list in the awesome bar
  • Click Menu and select import
  • Click new to create a new import job for DocTyp
  • Click attach to upload your DocType Excel

Allow ERPNext to process the DocType attachment using the following setting

  • Uncheck update the record – This necessary if you are uploading the entire DocType list, to prevent ERPNext from update existing DocType
  • Check skip row with error – This is necessary to allow ERPNext to skip DocType that already exists
  • Check submit after importing – ERPNext will submit all new Doctype created during the import.
  • All other settings are ok for importing

Once the import process is complete go back to the data import list to verify that your DocTypes are imported.

Click on the import log and scroll down to the import log. Make sure you are not seeing any J3 DocType in the log. If you are seeing J3 DocType please fix error message and re-import.
